Daytrip Connecticut is the brainchild of husband-and-wife team Corinne and Erik Ofgang. It is an ongoing mission to explore new culinary worlds, to seek out new night-life and the best museums, hikes, parks, natural wonders, breweries, coffeehouses and more, to boldly go where no one (or many) have gone before.
Erik is a Connecticut Magazine staff writer and food critic, and the author of Buzzed: Beers, Booze, & Coffee Brews, Where to Enjoy the Best Craft Beverages in New England.
He’s dedicated almost all of his professional life (and most of his personal time) to finding cool things to do in Connecticut and surrounding states. He teaches journalism at Mercy College and WCSU and was recently named one of the top 10 resources for craft beer news in the state by CTbeer.com.
Corinne is a therapist by trade who believes fun and relaxation are essential in achieving a balanced life. To that end, she’s always on the lookout for things to do in Connecticut. Erik’s travel and dining sidekick for most of his career, she has been responsible for some of his most popular food and travel finds. Her photos accompanying Erik’s writing have appeared in stories in Connecticut Magazine, Hearst Media and Tabletmag.com.
