Three, two, one…

Liftoff!

We’re excited to finally launch this site. We’ve talked about doing it for years, thought semi-seriously about it for months, and then finally over the course of several long weekends were able to get it up and running. In the coming months, years and decades (maybe?), we’ll be sharing with you our favorite spots to visit in Connecticut, and beyond. Some entries will be short, devoted to one specific attraction, like a restaurant or brewery, others will focus on a town like Kent and describe a day’s worth of activities in Connecticut. There will also be roundups and lists because the streets (at least the digital ones) demand it, but these won’t be click-bait traps–they’ll be about place we’ve actually been to and love, and can’t wait to get back to.

In addition to Connecticut-centric activities we’ll also have a recurring “Border Crossing” section where we venture quite daringly over the Connecticut border into the wilds of places such as New York City, the Hudson Valley, Rhode Island and Massachusetts (for these trips Erik will leave his Mets hat in the car). There will also be an overnights section on places close-ish to Connecticut but far enough away that spending the night will make things more enjoyable, we also may highlight some overnight destinations within the state.

Though we have a lot that we’re planning on writing about already, we’re always on the lookout for new places and attractions so if you have any suggestions let us know.

In the meantime we’re going to start building some content for this site.
